More than 2 lakh registrations for CAT 2010

About two lakh candidates have registered for the online Common Admission Test (CAT)-2010 starting 27th October 2010 for admissions in 10 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other business schools.
The responsibility of organising the test is with IIM, Kolkata, and IIM, Lucknow.According to sources, a total of 204,267 candidates have registered for CAT-2010, which will be organised in two slots from 27 Oct to 24 Nov 2010. As no test will be conducted on festivals and other occasions, CAT-2010 will be a 20-day affair.
CAT-2010 will be conducted in 33 cities across the country.With around 30,000 registrations, Maharashtra has the highest number of candidates, followed by Uttar Pradesh with around 26,000 candidates.Uttar Pradesh is followed by Delhi (19,000 candidates).
40 different sets of question papers have been prepared for the highly debated Cat-2010. The results of CAT-2010 will be declared on 12 January 2011
